Music to our ears:
“I, Leonard Howard, performed a re-inspection at 29 South Street to find all items to have been corrected, that were found on the initial inspection.”
This was from the Brattleboro Fire Department Fire and Safety Re-inspection report dated January 18, 2019. In short, our premises are much safer than they were upon initial inspection on February 23, 2018. We all should be very grateful to members Steve Squires, Catie Berg, Michael Weitzner, and Tom Finnell for their efforts in addressing the violations, together with huge thanks to the following for their assistance in making the necessary fixes: Theater Adventure Program staff, Brian Tyler and staff from Tyler Electric, Code 3 Products, Countryside Locks and Alarms, Inc., Keene Gas, architect Robin Sweetapple, GPI Construction and their several subcontractors, and The Steel Shed, Inc.
Note that the pass was given with the understanding that the new fire escape will be sheltered from the elements. That roof system is contracted for and will be constructed “as soon as possible” per GPI Construction’s representative. I’m grateful for our community of support.
