The mission of the Membership Committee is to greet members and friends of ASC and to help them become comfortable with the Church Community. This ranges from welcoming them to Sunday services, sponsoring social events such as circle dinners (and lunches), shepherding through the process of becoming a member, and keeping the membership rolls in good order.

In service of that mission the group meets as needed. The directory of ASC friends and members is kept up to date so that those who wish to become part of our congregation can make contact with others. The committee works to find ways to increase the feeling of welcome to anyone inquiring about our church and/or joining a Sunday Service for the first time. We welcome anyone who would like to join in that ministry. Those who wish to join the committee or to volunteer please contact Kathy Squires

ASC Members are individuals who have made a commitment to support the church in a variety of ways from attending services as they can, to pledging financial support (no matter what size), participating in the congregation by attending decision making meetings (as voting members), and who have signed the membership book.

Friends of All Souls are welcome and often very active participants of our Church Family. The benefits of full membership not extended to them, are the privilege of voting and serving in the governing of the church and access to the “Members” sections of the church website.

The Membership Committee has absorbed the functions of the former Remembrance Committee by acknowledging memorial donations and maintaining the Remembrance Book of deceased members and friends. This book is housed in the Parlor and available for anyone to review.

The current Membership Committee members are Kathy Squires, chair, Carla Fogg, Christina Gibbons, Chris Greene, Linda Hay, Lois Reynolds and Ellie Weiss.
