All Souls UU Church is partnering with Harmony Collective Artist Gallery to present Welcome to the New Year! This collaborative show includes the work of 16 local artists who are members of the collective and celebrates the coming of a new year, with all its possibilities and potential incarnations. The participating artists are: Marie Formichelli, Stu Copans, Melody Squires, Kay Curtis, Julia Sorensen, Larisa Volkavichyute, Kathie Capcara, Cyndi Feranti, Hone Williams, Jeanne Sutherland, Nancy Ghitman, S. Rose Watson, Tim Thrasher, Kathy Kemp, Joan Lovell and Ruby Rice.
According to founder and coordinator Kay Curtis, “Harmony Collective was formed five years ago to bring together artists and promote the arts in Brattleboro. It includes artists who work in a variety of styles. This show reflects the dynamic nature of the gallery with artists who work both abstractly and representationally in oil and acrylic paint, encaustics (painting with hot wax), fiber, paper cutting and assemblage art. We are thrilled to bring this dynamic display to the West Village Meeting House to welcome in 2025.”
The Harmony Collective is a vibrant group of local artists, working in a wide variety of media and dedicated to creating an artist-first space. Visitors will always meet at least one of our member artists, who work in and run the gallery, daily 10 am – 6 pm.
