The philosophical idea that God is one can be traced back to the founding of Christianity in the 4th century.  In this lay-led service, Church member Peter Gibbons will describe the beliefs of the priest Arius and his relationship to the Council of Nicaea which occurred during the tumultuous reign of the Emperor Constantine.
